Trevor and Jeana wed

On January 3, the Meadows family gained another girl.  {FINALLY}.  This wedding has been a long time coming and I couldn't be happier about having a new sister-in-law.  Jeana is the perfect addition to the family and we are so glad she is officially a Meadows.

Their wedding day was perfect and beautiful.  It was close to 50 degrees while we were outside the temple, which was pretty amazing considering the time of year.  Jeana looked beautiful and it was very obvious that this was the happiest day of their lives.

They had a beautiful reception at Heritage Gardens.  I wish I would have taken more pictures, but as you will see by the quality of the pictures below, my beloved pink Sony camera is on it's death bed.  (I have a really good suggestion as to what Josh could get me for my birthday...hint hint).

Anyway, here are some pictures of Trevor and Jeana's reception.

Me and Riley- the youngest Meadows.
We like to call him Roo Roo.  Or Riley Bieber - for obvious reasons.

They got each other sooooo good.

Bubbles galore as they left the reception

And they're off to Cancun!

What a fun day!  We wish Trevor and Jeana all the best and look forward to many fun Meadows family moments ahead.

Playing catch up

Long time no blogging.

I have been having too much fun reading everyone else's blogs and spending way too much time on Pinterest to blog.  I want to be better at updating.  Maybe that will be a 2012 goal.

Anyway, here's a rundown on the last few months of 2011.  This post may get long and boring, so read at your own risk. :)

In August we went to Lake Powell with some of our fun friends in our ward.  It was my first time there and it was amazing.  I finally understand and know why people are so in love with that place.  Not only is it so much fun to play in the warm water all day, but the scenery is absolutely gorgeous.  I want to go back again and again and again.

Josh and I on the house boat.  Oh how I miss that warm sunshine.

View from our beach.

The LP crew.

Hottest wakeboarder I've ever seen

Proof that I got up on a surf board.  I did not grow up in a family that boats, so my skills are limited, but I sure love being out on the lake, even if I can't do much on the water.

Missing this so much right now.

Also in August we finally mounted our tv and got cable and DVR.  HALLELUJAH.  We did not have a tv set up for the first five months we lived in our house and we hadn't had cable the first two years of our marriage.  Not that tv and cable are everything, but it's definitely nice to curl up on the couch and watch your favorite shows now and again.  Plus the only way I can fold laundry without wanting to poke my eyes out is to fold while I watch a show I love.  Now we finally have folded clothes...most of the time. My favorite folding movie is "Tangled."  Can't get enough of that movie.

This fall I was put in the Young Women's in my ward.  I started out as the Mia Maid adviser, but was just made the first counselor.  I absolutely love my calling.  It is definitely more time consuming, but I absolutely love and adore every young woman and leader.  We have a small group of girls, but they are all amazing and beautiful.  I feel so lucky to spend this time with them.  They teach me so much.

This past year, I have become very grateful for health.  I've had a few health issues and it has been a real wakeup call.  I've always considered myself to be a fairly healthy person, and while most health problems just happen and are out of our control, stepping up the healthiness a notch never hurt anyone.  Here's to a healthier 2012.

I have to brag for a second about my husband.  He has been rocking his job.  He works so hard in everything he does and I am forever grateful that he is mine.

We also decided to end 2011 by redoing our kitchen and full bathroom.  It has been a crazy 7+ weeks(and still going strong) but so far, everything that's been done looks great.  The bathroom is done and the kitchen is about 75% done.  I long for the day to have a functioning, updated kitchen but I know it will be worth the wait.  I'm just glad we're getting these big projects out of the way before kids come along.  As soon as the kitchen is done, I will post lots of before and after pictures.  I'll do a bathroom post soon.  I am so happy with how it turned out.  It looks 100x better.  I'm obsessed.

Anyway, I have a new goal to blog at least once a week from now on.  So please get on my case if I don't.  I've got to keep a journal somehow and I think this is the only thing that will work for me.  Happy February, everyone!  xo
