a shout out!

I just wanted to give a shout out to my amazing voice teacher, the lovely Lisa Olsen!
The other day I realized it has been 3 years this month since I started taking voice lessons with her. I can't believe it has been that long! Time flies when you're having fun!!

Singing has always been my favorite thing to do. From elementary school through high school, I was always involved in some sort of choir. Once college hit, I began missing it so much! Car singing and the occasional solo in church just wasn't cutting it for me.

A few years ago I decided to do something about it-and you know what they say, if you don't use it, you LOSE it! I started looking for a voice teacher, and thanks to my wonderful friend and neighbor, Kenneth Cope, I was introduced to Lisa. She had been his assistant several years ago and had recently emailed him to say that she was going to start teaching voice lessons. It was meant to be!

We instantly became good friends and my 1/2 hour lessons would usually turn into hour lessons because we would chat so much! Lisa has taught me so much and has given me so much confidence in my voice. She is one of my closest friends and is the older sister I never had! I am so grateful for her friendship and I am so happy she is part of my life. Lisa has such an amazing voice and seriously needs to record an album. I hope someday I can sing as well as she does!

Anyway, I just wanted to let Lisa know how awesome she is and how much I love her!
